Clean energy for your electric vehicles, installed fast

Our solar trackers have powered homes, businesses, and schools for over a decade, racking up 45 million machine hours. They follow the sun all day, every day, producing 40% more power than fixed panels on roofs or ground mounts.

Now, we're using that solar power to charge EVs and plug-in hybrids, completely off-grid.

Traditional grid-tied EV charging is a hassle. Permits, electrical upgrades, construction, and utility red tape can drag on for a year or more.

Our Solar EV Chargers skip all that. Our lead time is about a month, and the setup takes just one day. They fit right into parking lot lines with minimal permitting, no electricians, no utility involvement, and no construction.

Plus, you'll avoid rising electricity costs.

Plugging into solar at work keeps your EV topped up and stress-free.

Solaflect offers a cost-effective lease option for businesses, or you can purchase to take advantage of the 30% federal solar incentive.

Either way, you'll spend less than you would on grid power.
Solaflect has been a fabulous partner in bringing us this innovative solution. We are committed to drastically reducing our carbon emissions. Solar EV chargers enable us to do that, as well as encourage our associates to purchase electric or hybrid vehicles that will reduce their personal and commuting carbon emissions.

Tracker FAQs

How does the tracking work?

With a bit of math, we can tell your tracker exactly where the sun will be in relation to your home on any given moment of any day, any month, for the next ten thousand years.

Whisper-quiet mechanisms constantly adjust your tracker throughout the day, maximizing the amount of sun you capture—a bonus of 40% compared to fixed panels.

What about snow?

At night, your tracker is stored vertically to the ground. While roof-mounted panels collect mounds of snow, your tracker will shrug off most of it. Remaining frost will melt the next time the sun comes out, as your panels are always in the best position to absorb its energy.

What happens during a storm?

Your tracker includes an onboard wind monitor that's collecting data in real time. During high winds, your tracker will stow itself flat like a table, allowing wind to mostly bypass its surface. After the storm passes, your tracker will resume its normal motion.

Do you monitor the system after installation?

We’ll watch over your tracker throughout the life of the installation. Our onboard control systems report errors back to our office and keep their own software up to date. Issues are rare, and we usually detect anything that needs a quick fix before you do. We correct most remotely, but we'll have a truck on the way if necessary.

Will you have to dig up my parking lot?

Not one inch. No trenching, no patching, no disruption. Our trackers install in place without interconnection headaches.

How do solar trackers produce more energy?

It's only when a solar panel is facing directly at the sun that it captures maximum energy. When the sun hits a solar panel at an angle, like on a roof, you miss out on a lot of power.

Even on a perfectly south-facing roof, there are hours in the day where the sun doesn't hit the solar panels at all. Throughout the year, accurately tracking the sun translates into 40% more electricity per solar panel.

Put differently, you'd need 40% more solar panels on a roof to do the same job.
